Creditless Find

An ant after locating two food sources, was on its way back to its colony when it met an another ant from a different colony. The other ant asked if it knew of any food source nearby, as it was unsuccessful in locating one for a long time. While it was normal for ants to share information on food, this ant wanted to take credit for locating the food rather than share information with others, hence replied in the negative.

On its way back to the colony, the ant saw members of his colony coming from the opposite direction and the head of the group asked the ant to join them in retrieving food which was located by another member of the colony. The ant obliged and joined the group. On reaching the destination the ant realised that the food it was supposed to retrieve was one of its find. Disappointed that it couldn't take credit for locating the food source, the ant informed its head about its second find. The head of the colony was happy to hear about the ant`s find, hence it organised some members of the group and along with the ant set out for the food source.

On reaching the food source, the ant was again disappointed, as ants from a different colony were already at work taking the food to their colony. The ant was extremely disappointed that it couldn't take credit for either of its find.
