Resting on the river bed the tortoise was almost sleepy, when it saw an owl fall into the river from the sky.The owl was fully drenched and looked disappointed. As the owl walked out of the water, the tortoise asked what it was doing in the river . The owl said it was eager to learn fishing and had asked a kingfisher about how it went about catching fish, and the owl was only trying to imitate the actions of the kingfisher, when it fell into the river. The tortoise laughed at the owl, and said, no owl can imitate the kingfisher to catch fish, as it had better flight and eyesight, and suggested the owl to fish in its own unique way - using its sense of touch and sound.
The owl thought long on what the tortoise had said and hit upon a new idea. The owl which was good at hunting rats frogs and insects, caught a frog, holding it firmly between its claw, flew and settled in a clam and shallow part of the river. The owl waited for the fish to come and pull the dead frog from its claws, and when it sensed the frog being pulled and the flutter it created on the water surface , the owl immediately plucked the fish from the water with its beak and - TA-DAA, the owl flew away with its first fish.
